Brazilian fintech Meliuz raised 180.08 million reais ($32.39 million) in a follow-on share offering aimed at obtaining funds to purchase bitcoin, it said in a securities filing on Friday.

The video game retailer announced plans for a $1.75 billion convertible notes offering to partially fund its bitcoin purchase.

Said investment policy is to add bitcoin as a treasury reserve asset, according to a March release from the company. Today's offering, only open to qualified institutional buyers, includes an option for purchasers to buy an additional $250 million in notes within two weeks of the initial issuance,
