Lattimore played in just nine regular-season games last season. In addition to the hamstring injury, he also sat out Week 2 with a hip injury. He finished with a career-low in tackles (34) and didn't have an interception for the first time in his eight-year NFL career.

The four-time Pro Bowler who's had lingering hamstring issues said he's feeling much better while participating at Washington's minicamp.

Lattimore wasn't trying to make excuses for his play. He was honest. Throughout the offseason, general manager Adam Peters and Dan Quinn expressed confidence in Lattimore and believed a healthy Lattimore would be akin to a major free-agent signing.
